the 5th wave

so far the way the book has been represented its different to the movie, the book seems to have flash backs to when Cassie/main character was a normal kid living her normal life and then it goes back to reality which is where wave 1,2, and 3 have already struck and she is soon waiting for the 4th wave

Cassie thinks that before the invasion came, the Cassie was a hole different person compared to the person she is now, Cassie in reality also always carry's a M16 rifle and she said its her best friend but she hasn't shot anything bigger than a rabbit, and she recently found a man at a gas station which Cassie goes to once a week to get supplies.
